Feed the Soul, Inc. works with professionals in a variety of health fields. For your benefit, we have gathered a number of resources and continuing education programs to help you learn more about the effects of diet and nutrition on patients with specific health concerns.
Diabetes
- Diabetes Management and Cardiovascular Disease – Register for this live CEU webinar class offered by Academy Medical, available through December 9.
- Webinar: Evidenced Based Diabetes Self-Management Education – This free webinar is being offered on October 28 at 12PM ET. Participants will explore and compare effective methods for diabetes education and will learn how the Conversation Map education tools align with effective approaches for DSME.
- STARTT: An Educator’s Advice on Getting Started with Conversation Map Education Tools – This free webinar is offered on December 3 at 1PM ET. Register to learn how to start using Conversation Map education tools within the clinic setting.
- American Association of Diabetes Educators – This website offers a variety of live educational webinars and on-demand webcasts on topics relevant to diabetes educators and other health professionals.
Chronic Kidney Disease
- Identifying Chronic Kidney Disease and Slowing Its Progression – This free online course is intended for primary care and family physicians, physicians assistants and pharmacists, this course will provide information on Chronic Kidney Disease identification, treatment and prevention. Participants may be eligible for continuing education credits.
General Continuing Education Resources
- American Medical On-Demand Presentations: Dietary Education – View presentations on a variety of dietary topics as they relate to chronic disease, weight management and other health concerns. Presentations are available for review at your convenience and pace and earn continuing education credits.
- Med-IQ – An accredited provider of Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits offers online courses on a variety of medical topics that may relate to nutrition and dietary treatment, including diabetes, endocrinology and many others.
- Becky Dorner & Associates – Take advantage of audio/video and online training opportunities as well as a variety of ongoing teleseminars approved for Registered Dietitians (RD), Registered Dietetic Technicians (DTR), and Certified Dietary Managers (CDM).
