OUR FOUNDING STORY
It Started in a Classroom
Feed the Soul was founded by teachers in the urban core to combat food insecurity among children who lacked access to fresh, healthy food. Seeing kids struggle with learning and development due to poor nutrition inspired the creation of programs that not only provide fresh fruits and vegetables but also educate families on how to make healthier choices.
Our signature programs were first launched in 2018 under the 501(c)(3) nonprofit MyWhy. In 2024, MyWhy rebranded and established Feed the Soul as a separate entity, building the infrastructure to expand these programs across Cincinnati and, ultimately, the country.
Today, we are scaling our impact to reach more schools and more children in need.
